LEADERSHIP THAT BUILDS THE PROGRAM
Meet the coaches committed to player development, team-first basketball, and representing Shenendehowa with pride.
Head Boys Basketball Coach
Andrew Platek
Andrew Platek brings Capital Region roots and experience at basketball’s highest levels to Shenendehowa. A Guilderland native and Northfield Mount Hermon graduate, he played four seasons for Hall of Fame coach Roy Williams at North Carolina before returning home to compete at Siena and later playing professionally in Europe.
Named Shenendehowa’s head varsity coach in 2026, Platek previously served as JV head coach and varsity assistant at Niskayuna, helping the program reach the 2025 state championship game.
