A New Chapter for Shen Boys Basketball

Freshman, JV, Modified, Varsity

A new season is on the horizon for Shen Boys Basketball, and there is plenty of excitement surrounding the program as Andrew Platek steps into his new role as varsity head coach.

The weeks leading up to the season will be about more than preparing for the first game. Coach Platek and the rest of the coaching staff will use this time to establish the program’s identity, build strong habits, and develop the trust needed to compete together. From conditioning and skill development to learning new roles on the court, every practice will be an opportunity for the players and the program to improve.

The upcoming season marks the beginning of a new chapter at every level of Shen Boys Basketball. Players will be challenged to grow as athletes, teammates, and representatives of the program. Under Coach Platek’s leadership, the focus will be on effort, communication, discipline, and playing the game with an unselfish approach.

There will be new faces, new responsibilities, and plenty to learn as the teams come together. While results on the scoreboard will always matter, progress will also be measured by how well the players respond to challenges, support one another, and improve throughout the season.

Excitement will continue to build as opening night approaches. We look forward to introducing this year’s teams, sharing preseason updates, and following Coach Platek, the coaching staff, and the players throughout the upcoming campaign.

Stay tuned for schedules, roster announcements, game recaps, photos, and more from across the Shen Boys Basketball program. The work is beginning—and we can’t wait to see what this new chapter brings.
